leave of absence

yeah havent been keeping this thing up to date as well as i'd like but lets trace back my last week which seemed to be the biggest week ive had so far
monday- went to akiharbourer with eli to help her buy the same camera as mine, canon 910s, awesome!!! sooo cheap and the guy remembered us so we didnt waste too much time
tuesday- the ONLY day i was at home... i was allowed to leave early so i could get my alien card, but it was awesome, i was able to catch the train home AND sit down on an EXPRESS train, which doesnt happen very often i tell you.. so far, going to work and back, ive only had the chance to sit like twice or something.. never expect a seat... got home at like 5pm on tuesday, which is hella early and started cleaning my shoebox just because i knew that i wasnt gonna do it ever if i didnt do it then...
wed- met up with bros friend owen and his friend since owen was here in japan for 3 weeks only and then met up with some work mates at coins bar in shibuya... note to self, there is a reason why i dont drink beer....
thurs- met up with maiko and i had a real japanese dinner with her family, absolutely loved it!!! niku-jyaga, but just the whole concept of being invited to dinner by a japanese family, a close japaense friends family, really added to my experiences here so far in japan.. they're so awesome and sweet! i brought cake for them to say thanks for inviting me and all, they cooked an awesome meal and even bought melon for dessert, dont wanna know how much that set them back and then just as i was about to leave, her dad had also gone all the way to asakusa to buy a special sweet for me to take back as a small gift... so thoughtful!!!

fri- after work, all the interns met up and went to an all you can eat and drink for 2 hours at tomboys, shibuya, for elis going away party... really relaxed place.. quite cheap too, then we realised why.. it was in the red light district hahaha whoops!
unfortunately myself and a mate had to leave early, we decided on thursday that we were gonna climb mount fuji and that we did.... the most hardest thing ive ever had to do so far.... but so rewarding... lost 1.5 kilos from that one ordeal... crazy huh? its just so weird how you just tire out so easily, due to the lack of oxygen.. so much so our water bottles ended up looking like this

but then my candy bars ended up inflated and looking like this...

so basically, what im trying to say is that mount fuji screws up everything that has to do with oxygen, esp the lungs....
since we climbed fuji after the climbing season had ended, not many buses run to fuji and back to gotemba station, that basically, we were in the rush the whole time we were climbing that mountain... caught the 5.50am train from tamaplaza, got to gotemba around 8ish, got to 5th station around 9.30 and officially started the climb at 9.45am... got to the top of fuji at 3.10 i think and by golly... that is an ACHIEVEMENT! going down the mountain was supposed to take 3 hours and we took 2.... but then again there wasnt any queues to climb up or down the mountain, which was awesome... unfortunately we didnt get to see the sunrise, but thats okay with me =D

then sunday, i was just gonna chill at home since i thought i wouldnt even be physically able to get out of bed, but eli asked if i wanted to go to the ever controversial shrine, Yasukuni shrine, that i was like, OK! hahaha luckily i did, we saw 4 sumos =D

and then, back to work again!
